Xizang (Tibet): Bianba Xian. First pass from the city of Bianba (Banbar) to Luolong (Lhorong) on highway 303. Mixed shrub community with tall (> 1.5 m) Rhododendron aganniphum, Salix, Sibiraea, Spiraea, Potentilla fruticosa and Caragana jubata. 30°45'40"N, 94°58'46"E; 4400-4440 m.
Slopes, around boulders. Shrubs ca. 1.5-1.7 m tall; young leaves with tan indumentum, viscid; corolla yellow on remaining flowers; fruit immature, green.
