Yunnan: Fugong Xian: Lumadeng Xiang. Road along the S fork of the Yamu river, on the road to Armero pass, ca. 23 km SW of the confluence of the N and S forks of the Yamu, E side of Gaoligong Shan. Mixed evergreen and deciduous broadleaved forest. Subtropical evergreen broadleaved forest with scattered Tsuga and some deciduous tree. 27°5'16"N, 98°44'24"E; 3022 m.
Growing on slope in thicket. NE-facing. live bark. Base rock: granite. Slope 30-60°. Shrub, 4 m tall. Corolla crimson 5, dark nectaries at base of corolla, calyx crimson. Occasional.
