Yunnan: Fugong Xian: Lumadeng Xiang. Road along the S fork of the Yamu river, near Armero pass, ca. 18 km SW of the confluence of the N and S forks of the Yamu, E side of Gaoligong Shan. Mixed evergreen and deciduous broadleaved forest. broadleaved evergreen forest with scattered Tsuga and some deciduous tree. 27°4'15"N, 98°45'13"E; 2361-3170 m.
Growing on steep slope in low forest, dense. NE-facing. Loam. Base rock: granite. Slope 30-60°. Tree, 5 m tall. Corolla white tinged with pink at base, dark maroon at base on one side on inside, corolla lobes 8. Occasional.
