Yunnan: Lushui Xian: Pianma Xiang. Vicinity of Km 62 on the road from Lushui to Pianma, W side of Gaoligong Shan. Subtropical evergreen broadleaved forest. Subtropical evergreen forest disturbed by clearing. Dominated by Lithocarpus and Cyclobalanopsis. 25°59'25"N, 98°39'32"E; 2710 m.
Growing in forest on slope, in sun. NW-facing. Loam. Base rock: limestone. Slope 30-60°. Shrub 3-5 m tall. Flowers pink. Young fruit green. Occasional.
