Kachin: Fugong Xian: Lumadeng Xiang. Yaping Cun, S of Yaping Yakou near the border with Myanmar, E side of Gaoligong Shan. Thicket. Bamboo and Rhododendron thickets and open wet meadows. 27°12'26"N, 98°41'47"E; 3730 m.
Growing in Rhododendron thicket. W-facing. Loam. Base rock: granite. Slope 10-30°. Shrub ca. 50 cm tall. Calyx and corolla pale orange. Corolla inside somewhat pinkish orange. Anthers black. Abundant.
