Yunnan: Fugong Xian: Lumadeng Xiang. Yaping Cun, cirque S of Yaping Pass near the Myanmar border, E side of Gaoligong Shan. Meadow. Wet meadow adjacent to lake with perennial herb and Rhododendron/bamboo thickets on moist slopes above. 27°12'2"N, 98°41'40"E; 3600 m.
Growing on wet slope by lake. E-facing. humus. Base rock: granite. Slope 30-60°. Shrub less than 10 cm tall. Flowers purplish red. Common.
