Yunnan: Fugong Xian: Lumadeng Xiang. Yaping Cun, S of Yaping Yakou in the second cirque with two small lakes in the bottom, just below the border with Myanmar, E side of Gaoligong Shan. Meadow. Meadow around lake with steep boulder covered hillside covered mostly with perennial herbs leading up to the ridge. 27°11'57"N, 98°41'38"E; 3650 m.
Growing on moist slope above lake. E-facing. Loam. Base rock: granite. Slope 30-60°. Shrub ca. 1 m tall. Corolla pale orange but darker inside at base. Filaments pale yellow, anthers black. Occasional.
