Dry, open, mostly Pinus forest, but also with scattered trees of Keteleeria, Tsuga and Juniperus and understory of various shrubs of Ericaceae (Rhododendron, Lyonia, Vaccinium), Myrsine africana, Viburnum and with Hypericum and Berberis in more open place.
