Xizang (Tibet): Mangkang (Markham) Xian. E of Dongda-La (pass) on highway 318, E of the town of Zogang on road to Mangkang (Markham). Seepages, dry steep slopes and level areas along river. 29°38'48"N, 98°8'1"E; 4300 m.
Solitary in grassy soil of alpine meadow. Pileus 15-17 mm diam., hemispherical to nearly campanulate; margin straight, the edge fimbriate with remains of partial veil, remains extending beyond lamellae; surface dull, dry, squamulose; with dark brown squamules (5-6E-F5-6) over a cream colored surface. Context to 3mm thick, white. Lamellae free, close with 1-2 series of lamellulae, narrow, breadth to 3.5 mm, white; edges concolorous, outline convex. Stipe ;25 X 3-3.5 mm, central, terete, central region hollow; surface dull, dry, composed of appressed fibrils, annulus present in only one specimen; dark brownish; brown squamulose over a cream colored surface (like pileus) towards the base, whitish towards the apex. Odor indistinct.
