Agaricus cf. decoratus (Moller) Pilat
Sichuan: Xiangcheng Xian. Yibailingba Gou. Off road from Xiangcheng to Daocheng, ca. 20 km from Xiangcheng. Gorge with steep slopes, running perpendicular to road and tributary of Suoqu He. Vegetation of large Pinus, Abies and Picea and mixed smaller, broadleaved deciduous trees of Acer, Prunus spp., Rhamnus, Sageretia, Syringa, Betula, etc. throughout and large trees of Populus along stream. 29°4'33"N, 99°55'8"E; 3150-3240 m.
On soil under trees dominated by Quercus and Picea. Pileus whitish, densely covered with pinkish gray squamules, darker at center. Lamellae free, pink, crowded, with lamellulae, veil remnants white, membranous. Stipe cylindrical, with an annulus, upper part concolorous with gills, whitish below annulus, base expanded to truncate globose, stipe pith obvious. Context of pileus white, but pinkish of stipe. Fragrant.
