Sichuan: Rangtang (Zamtang) Xian. NE of Wengda (Sêrba). Wengda National Forest Resources Reserve Region along the Se Qu (Se River). Disturbed Picea-Abies forest with shrubs and open areas. 31°58'56"N, 100°57'52"E; 3090 m.
Pileus convex, reddish brown, densely covered with red brown to rust brown repent squamules, 3-6 cm in diam., margin appendiculate with white short veil remnants. Lamellae free, white. Stipe white, subcylindrical, 5-8 x 0.7-1.6 cm, attenuate upward, with white annulus on medium part of stipe.
