Tricholoma pardinum Quélet
Sichuan: Xiangcheng Xian: Reda. Vicinity of the town of Reda. Dry slopes with cut over forest of Quercus, Pinus, Berberis, Cotoneaster. 29°6'11"N, 99°37'55"E; 3450-3650 m.
On ground under Quercus aquifolioides at 3500 m. Pileus 7-10 cm in diam., convex-applanate, dirty white to brownish, densely covered with brown squamules, apexes of which are dark brown. Lamellae dirty white. Stipe 7-12 x 1.5-2.5 cm, dirty white, with brown squamules. Context white, unchanging. Taste mild.
