Sichuan: Xiangcheng Xian. Between Xiangcheng and Sandui near the village of Riyin, S of Wuming Shan. West facing slopes and seepages in mixed coniferous forest (Picea, Abies, Pinus). 29°8'28"N, 99°55'42"E; 3550-4000 m.
On ground in forest of Pinus densata, Picea and Salix at 3500 m. Pileus 1.5-2.5 cm, convex, dirty white or cream colored, densely covered with pale brown, tomentose squamules. Lamellae dirty brown. Stipe 5-7 x 0.3-0.5 cm, cream colored, sometimes with pinkish tinge, with fine, longitudinal striations. Taste mild.
