Grazed meadows, Rhododendron thickets, limestone and shale scree slopes and outcropping ledges.

On ground near Rhododendron (only!) 4350 m.Pileus 6 cm in diam., applanate, pale ochraceous. Lamellae grayish, edge brownish. Stipe 8 x 0.8-1.2 cm, with brown squamules. Volva 2.5 x 2 cm, white, without rusty spots. Taste mild. (similar to Z. L. Yang 2440).
