Amanita nivalis Greville
Sichuan: Xiangcheng Xian: Reda. Vicinity of the town of Reda. Dry slopes with cut over forest of Quercus, Pinus, Berberis, Cotoneaster. 29°6'11"N, 99°37'55"E; 3450-3650 m.
On ground under Picea at 3450 m. Pileus 3-6.5 cm in diam., convex, slightly to indistinctly umbonate, brown to grayish, margin cream colored to whitish; margin striate (R=8/37, 5/21). Lamellae free, white. Stipe 8-10 x 0.6-1.2 cm, attenuate upwards, white. Volva 3-4.5 x 1.5-2 cm, white, often with pale brownish spots.
