On ground in forest of Quercus at 3450 m.Pileus convex, umbonate, fulvous, with yellowish to ochraceous tinge; margin striate (R=9/34). Lamellae free, white, edge reddish brown. Stipe 15.5. x 0.7-0.9 cm, whitish, lower part with brown to orange squamules. Volva 3 x 1.5 cm, often with orange tinge (cf. Z. L. Yang 1984). Cited: Mycologia 96: 643-645. 2004.
