Yunnan: Dali Xian: Dali. East side of Cang Shan above the city of Dali ca. 100 m above tram terminus. Reforested slope with Pinus yunnanensis and Ericaceous shrubs. 25°39'30"N, 100°5'50"E; 2600 m.
On ground in forest of Pinus yunnanensis at 2500 m. Pileus 4-6 cm in diam., convex to applanate, often with an indistinct umbo, gray to grayish, sometimes almost white, margin striate (R=10/25, 10/28). Lamellae free, white. Stipe 6-9 x 0.5-1cm, white, with whitish fibrils. Volva 2-3.5 x 1-2 cm, both outer surface and inner surface first white, then gray, outer surface often with yellowish to brownish spots.
