On ground among Polygonum, Potentilla, Berberis, sometimes also with scattered Cyperus, dwarf Rhododendron and Juniperus at 4300 m, without other trees.Pileus 3-6 cm in diam., first gray with brownish tinge, then pale ochraceous, margin striate (R=10/35). Lamellae free, white, edge reddish to brownish. Stipe 5-7 x 0.7-1.5 cm, whitish, covered with grayish squamules. Volva 2.5-4 x 2-2.5 cm, outer surface white, with rusty spots, upper margin grayish, inner surface grayish. With a slide.
