Melanoleuca melaleuca (Persoon) Murrill
Sichuan: Ganzi (Garze) Xian. Gan-Bai Lu (road from Ganzi to Baiyu), ca. 15 km S of Ganzi on Ganzi side of first pass from Ganzi. Open, grazed slope with dwarf Rhododendron, Sibiraea and Berberis, large boulders along small stream. 31°29'34"N, 99°59'35"E; 4020 m.
Pileus 8 cm in diam., applanate, with a central umbonate depression; margin straight, uplifted, surface dry, smooth, glabrous, slightly polished, disc brownish, margin yellowish brownish. Lamellae ascending-adnate, many with a very small decurrent tooth, crowded with 1-2 series of lamellulae, occasionally once- or twice-forked, off-white. Stipe 7 X 1-1.5 cm, with an enlarged base. Odor indistinct.
