Xizang (Tibet): Baxoi Xian. E edge of town of Rawu (Raog) in broad alluvial area along N tributary of Rawu Hu (Rawu Lake), along highway 318. Gravelly flood plain of river dominated by shrubs and small trees of Hippophaë. 29°30'9"N, 96°45'44"E; 3890 m.
Gravelly depressions in open. Rhizomatous, but rhizome deeply buried and difficult to dig intact; petals yellow.
