Coprotus aurora (H. Crouan & P. Crouan) Kimbrough
Sichuan: Xiangcheng Xian. Crest of ridge along summit of Wuming Shan (dividing line between Daocheng and Xiangcheng Xian). Alpine meadows, dwarf Rhododendron scrub and rock fields. 29°8'46"N, 100°2'18"E; 4700 m.
On cow dung. Very small, less than 0.3 mm in diam., orange when dry, hymenium with dark margin, hairless, asci J-, pack to club shaped, thick-walled, ascospores ellipsoid, brownish in Melzers reagent, surface smooth, ca. 11-13 x 7.5-8.5 um, paraphyses bent and deformed at apex. First record in China.
