Xizang (Tibet): Chaya (Chagyab, Dayak) Xian. Ca. 10 km E in a straight line from the city of Chaya (Chagyab, Dayak) on road from Chaya to Gongjue (Gongjo) along the Mai Qu (Mai River) at Yanduo Zheng. Steep, heavily grazed slopes with scattered shrubs of Sophora davidii, Caragana, Rosa, Cotoneaster, Berchemia and Sageretia. Mostly open, shaley soil. 30°38'9"N, 97°39'58"E; 3280-3300 m.
Dry slopes. Whole plant fragrant when bruised; corolla white; anthers blue; apex of lower lip fringed.
