Yunnan: Fugong Xian: Lishadi Xiang. Yaduo Cun, side valley running to the N ca. 10 km above Shibali on the road to the Myanmar border, E side of Gaoligong Shan. Thicket. Bottom of glacial valley with bamboo-Rhododendron thicket and areas of mostly tall perennial herbs mixed with scattered shrub or small trees of Salix and Betula. 27°12'29"N, 98°43'18"E; 3310 m.
Growing on surface of boulders in partial or full sun. S-facing. moss on rock. Base rock: granite. Slope 0-10°. Perennial herb. Flowers dark red. Rare.
