Yunnan: Fugong Xian: Lishadi Xiang. Yaduo Cun, side valley running to the N ca. 10 km above Shibali on the road to the Myanmar border, E side of Gaoligong Shan. Thicket. Bottom of glacial valley with bamboo-Rhododendron thicket and areas of mostly tall perennial herbs mixed with scattered shrub or small trees of Salix and Betula. 27°12'29"N, 98°43'18"E; 3310 m.
Growing next to pond on valley floor among Rhododendron shrubs. SW-facing. Loam. Base rock: granite. Slope 0-10°. Perennial herb. Sepals green Petals white flushed with greenish yellow stripes at base. Filaments pale green, anthers pale yellow. Rare.
